There is a nice article about technology companies in Estonia in today’s NY Times. It mentions the usual suspects: Skype, Jürvetson, Playtech, Webmedia, Martinson and others, so does not really give much new information per se. The key thing to understand is what comes out from the quotes: Estonian technology landscape has an ability to make big things with small resources and small teams. We can’t build huge offshore software development factories, but we can mash up new solutions from bits and pieces, and do it in a way that end users find useful. The question, like Linnar Viik asks, is how to sustain that momentum?
- @jeff I thought the French build barricades and burn and smash cars?
- Absolutely hate it to sometimes be in a different city from my co-founders. It sucks. It should be forbidden. #leanstartup
